SiteGround Refund Tutorial How to Get a 30-Day No Reason Refund Service
Siteground refund is a very simple matter, because Siteground provides 30 Days Money Back service for all the web hosting they provide, which means that after we purchase Siteground hosting , if you feel that it does not work within 30 days If it works, you can ask for a full refund at any time. The following Siteground tutorial will take you to understand the SiteGround refund operation process and official refund policy in detail.
SiteGround tutorial walks you through how to request a refund
First open the background of Siteground, then click the Services button. Find the host you want to refund on the Hosting page. For example, what I want to refund is the host MY HOSTING in the picture below, click the MANAGE button

Then in the new page, click the three dots on the right side of UPGRADE, and click the Cancel button at the bottom of the drop-down options.

Siteground will ask you when you want to shut down your hosting service. The first option is to cancel after the service expires and no longer automatically renew; the other is to cancel the service Immediately. (If your console is refunded within 30 days of purchase, it will be refunded in full, if your console asks for a refund after 30 days of purchase, only the refund amount corresponding to the remaining months will be refunded) here I choose to cancel the service immediately. Then click the CONTINUE button in the lower right corner.

In the new page that opens, Siteground prompts: Cancel the hosting service, which means that the website data you have stored in the hosting will be deleted. At the same time, if you purchased a website domain name from Siteground, you need to cancel the automatic renewal of the domain name in the Service-Domains page. In practice, if you really want to delete the website data, it is recommended to make a backup before deleting the data to prevent regrets after deletion. Daily backup of website data is a good habit that needs to be cultivated.
Here, after I check I understand, click the Continue button to continue.

On the next page, Siteground will ask you why you cancel the service, you can choose whatever you want. I choose Other here, and then write a reason. Click the CONTINUE button to continue.

On the new page that opened, Siteground sent a customer service to chat with you in depth to keep you. You can click the Start A Chat button to communicate with the customer service. If you have made up your mind, you don’t need to talk to the customer service again. Brother and sister, just click the CONTINUE button in the lower right corner to continue.

Finally~, arrived at the refund page, where the consumption details and refund details are listed in detail. If there is no problem, click the CONTINUE button in the lower right corner to continue. It should be noted that by default, the refund will be sent back to your payment account. For example, if you paid with a credit card, the refund will be refunded to the credit card. You may need 7-21 days to pay by the credit card. See Refund.
At the same time, you can also tell us to return the money to Siteground’s account balance on the contact customer service page above, which will be used for the next purchase of Siteground’s services. as you please.

After clicking the CONFIRM button in the lower right corner of the above figure, the page refreshes and prompts Cancellation Completed. At this point, the refund is successfully completed.

In terms of the entire refund experience, it is not bad. There are a little more processes to go through, but basically all operations can be completed with a click of the mouse, so I am still very satisfied on the whole.
The refund operation closed our hosting service, but our Siteground account is still there. You can log in to the background at any time, click RENEW HOSTING in the picture above, or NEW WEBSITE in the upper right corner, or Add New Site to re-purchase the Siteground host to build your WordPress website .
SiteGround Refund Policy Terms of Service
In order to learn more about SiteGround’s host refund policy and anti-pit, I also specifically looked for Siteground’s Terms of Service to review the Money Back Policy-related content. I’ve excerpted more of it as follows:
8. MONEY BACK POLICY
8.1. If you no longer need a Service you have purchased or are unsatisfied with its performance, you can cancel it at any time. We recommend that cancellation requests are posted through your User Area.
The general idea is that if you no longer want to use our service or are dissatisfied with our service, you can cancel your account at any time in your user center and ask for a refund.
8.2. Our Money Back Policy covers initial and renewal Orders for Shared Hosting and Cloud Services and most additional features we offer. For the initial period after an account is activated we will issue a full refund for Shared Hosting Accounts and Services cancelled within 30 days from activation and for Cloud Accounts cancelled within 14 days of activation.
For renewal fees we will issue a full refund, if cancellation is requested within 30 days from the date on which we receive payment for renewal and the renewal Term has not started. If the renewal Term has already started, we will refund the renewal fees less the fees due for the first month of the renewal Term. Refunds are processed within ten (10) business days after a Service is cancelled.
The general idea is that for newly purchased shared hosting Siteground, a full refund service is provided within 30 days after purchase; for newly purchased cloud hosting, a full refund service is provided within 14 days after purchase. For the renewal host, if you want to refund before the deduction, Siteground will refund the full amount; if you want to refund after the renewal and deduction are successful, sorry, you have to bear the first Monthly fee (for example, if you renew the fee for 12 months, and regret it after the deduction, you want to ask for a refund, then Siteground can only refund you the fee for 11 months).
All refunds will be processed within 10 working days of the request.
…
8.4. Services that are tailor-made to you, are not covered by our Money Back Policy. These include Domain name registrations, Dedicated Server Services, SSL certificates, Paid support services, including Backup Creation and Backup Restore, and third-party Services. In any case, domain name fees are not refundable and may be due upon cancellation even if waived initially as part of a special promotion.
Some services are non-refundable, for example, the domain name you purchased, paid SSL certificate, website backup service, and other custom paid services are not covered by the refund clause (although the domain name cannot be refunded, but the domain name can be transferred to In other accounts; paid SSL certificates can also be downloaded and installed on other hosts or servers under the same domain name. Free SSL certificates can also be downloaded and installed on other hosts, but no longer have the function of automatic certificate renewal) . The terms are very detailed, and it can be regarded as a guarantee for our users.
